BFA COVID Safety

Burbank First Academy continues to monitor the CDC Guidelines to ensure the safety and health of our students and staff. We are now open for classes in person and will still be offering classes online. Please see the following guidelines and precautions we are taking to maintain a clean and safe environment for all.

Students can use socially distanced cubbies for personal items

All surfaces cleaned and sanitized after classes

 

BURBANK FIRST ACADEMY: 

  • Classes to be held on-site in our studio as we practice social distancing
  • Windows and doors will be open with air conditiong, as needed, for optimal ventilation 
  • Cubbies, desktops, door handles, ballet barres, and other shared surface areas are sanitized throughout the day.

  • The floors, bathrooms, and frequently touched surfaces are cleaned on a regular basis 
  • Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance 
  • Low student-to-teacher ratio to space out dancers during class
  • All BFA teachers and employees will wear masks at all times and have their temperature checked upon arrival 
  • Employees are required to wash their hands before and after classes
  • Classes focus on independent, stationary, non-contact activities to minimize physical interactions between dancers and instructors as much as possible. 

     

STUDENTS: 

  • All students are required to wear a face mask (face shield/ covering) while on site. (Only individuals who have been instructed not to wear face covering by their medical provider are exempt from wearing one.) 
  • All student’s temperatures will be checked upon arrival
  • We require parents to drop-off and pick-up their dancers, and we have breaks in between classes to allow time for dancers and employees to transition.

  • Parents may watch class from outside in an effort to minimize the number of people in the studio.

  • Students are required to wash their hands before and after classes
  • Our water dispensers are temporarily closed, dancers are required to bring their own water bottles to class 
  • Low student-to-teacher ratio to space out dancers during class

All dance classes are socially distanced and dance floors are marked to insure students stay 6 feet apart. Doors and windows remain open, fans and air conditioning units are used to increase ventilation during classes. Dance barres, floors, and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
