BFA Teen Mentoring and Teen Teacher Apprentice Program
Burbank First Academy wants our studios to be welcoming to children of all ages, including teens. We want our campus to feel like a safe place to come to take dance or performing arts lessons, to develop creatively and to grow as young artists. This is why we’re proud to offer our Teen Mentoring Program and our Teen Teacher Apprentice Program.
BFA Teen Mentoring Program
This program is created so that local teens, who are also aspiring performers, can give back to the community by volunteering at BFA. Under the supervision of a BFA teacher, chosen teens will have the opportunity to collect volunteer hours by being a class assistant. If you would like more information on how to apply for this program please email burbankfirstacademy@gmail.com (must be 16 years old to apply).
BFA Teen Teacher Apprentice Program
This program is designed for “exceptionally” talented dancers or performing arts teens that hope to someday become a professional performer and/or teacher. This program is for someone who has already done mentoring hours, and is ready to take teaching to the next level. The apprentice will be mentored by a BFA teacher and have his or her own class on the schedule. Careful selection, an audition process, and 3 recommendations will be required in order to be considered for this program. For more information please email burbankfirstacademy@gmail.com (must be 16 years old to apply).
